The Center of Excellence promotes the exchange between science and industry, supports the education program and enriches communication in the European Executive Forum.

The European Institute for Leadership and Transformation commissions academic studies and at the same time serves as a multiplier for scientific contributions and research for applied practice.

Professors

Barbara Weißenberger

Barbara E. Weißenberger received her doctorate and attained habilitation from 1992 to 2002 at the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management. Her postdoctoral thesis was awarded with the Austrian Controller-Prize in 2003. In the same year, she was appointed to the Chair of Business Administration IV, esp. Controlling and Integrated Accounting at the Justus-Liebig University of Giessen (succession of Prof. Dr. Dr. hc mult. Dietger Hahn), where she remained until 30 September 2014.

Following other postings (University of Ulm, Freie Universität Berlin) Barbara E. Weißenberger has held the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Accounting (succession of Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Franz) at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf since 1 October 2014. This chair covers subjects such as International Accounting, Controlling and Auditing.
In September 2014, Barbara E. Weißenberger also accepted the post of Affiliate Professor of Accounting at the Faculty of Bucerius Law School, Hamburg.

Barbara E. Weißenberger is a member of numerous scientific associations and editorial boards of national and international scientific journals. Since 1 January 2015 she has been Chairperson of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB)

Arne Schulke

Arne Schulke is a professor at the University of Bad Honnef · Bonn (IUBH) Prior to his current posting, he held a professorship at the European University of Applied Sciences Rhein-Erft (EUFH), where he taught students of the dual studies degree program in the fields of logistics, management, consulting and management accounting

Before his step into academic teaching, Dr. Schulke worked for 11 years at time: matters, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo, both as CFO and later COO. time: matters is a highly specialized supplier of Special Speed ​​Logistics, offering international same-day shipments and customized, highly sensitive transportation solutions. During his time with time: matters, the company expanded by more than five times in size and internationalized to various countries in Europe and Asia. In 2006, the company also undertook the first MBO in the Lufthansa Group with a private equity firm.

Before joining time: matters, Dr. Schulke worked for several years in various industries as a management consultant with AT Kearney, later specializing in the field of start-up management. Dr. Schulke studied at the University of Trier, where he later attained his PhD in the field of business management for start-ups.
